Theo’s part ownership of Red Letter days, and our corporate arrangement with Merlin, also allows us to offer colleagues discounts with them as well.
After three months all new Colleagues who are eligible to join a pension scheme under the Government's Auto Enrolment criteria will be automatically enrolled into The Group Retail Plan. If you are not automatically enrolled you can join the scheme voluntarily at any time. All colleagues are also eligible for life assurance after 1 years’ service with the group.

At Ryman we are proud of our heritage and our people. We are particularly proud of the fact that once people join us, they tend to stay. Colleagues who have worked with us for ten years or more receive an award, along with a financial 'thank you' (and we keep thanking you every five years too).

What is the Retail Trust?
Retail Trust is the only charity that looks after all three million people working in retail, plus those retired from the sector and its associated businesses. The charity provides support to people who have been victims and witnesses to crime, are suffering physical and mental abuse, financial difficulty or any other unforeseen circumstance that life can throw at you.
Retail Trust is your charity. As a colleague of Ryman they will provide support when you or your family need care or assistance.
What is the Retail Trust Helpline?
The Retail Trust Helpline 0808 801 0808 is a free and confidential service that offers independent advice and access to free counselling, free legal and debt advice, free hardship grants, free course funding for career development and much more. The Helpline team offer support with all kinds of personal issues including bullying, racism, abuse, crime, drugs and debt. You can call about absolutely anything, so if you need to talk about something, please get in touch.

As a retailer, it goes without saying that sales are the main driver for our business and our colleagues. We believe in rewarding colleagues for their efforts in meeting and exceeding sales targets. We also like rewarding our people for doing a great job by having some fun. Every year Theo takes up to 150 colleagues on holiday for a trip of a lifetime, over the years they have enjoyed trips to Dubai, Caribbean, Croatia, Malta and this year will be Majorca.
As an official Red Nose Day and Comic Relief Partner all our colleagues enjoy having some fun whilst making lots of money for Charity.
We also carry out a number of Colleague Sales in Wimbledon, Leatherhead and Crewe. Our colleagues simply fill a bag of Boux, Ryman and Robert Dyas goodies and all the funds raised go to Charity. Everyone wins.
Most stores and offices have Colleague rest areas and facilities, including a supply of complimentary tea and coffee for all Colleagues. Our tea break areas have seating areas, tables, a microwave, fridge and washing up facilities. It’s important to us that when you take a break you have somewhere clean, tidy and comfortable to go.
We all deserve to take well earned breaks from work. Our Annual Leave entitlements are inclusive of the eight days bank holiday. All colleagues receive at least 28 days Annual Leave (20 days plus 8 Bank Holidays).
Christmas Shopping Day
All full-time staff or part-time staff, who are engaged on or before 25th September each year, are also awarded an extra day’s holiday (pro rata) at Christmas.
